Aashiq Abu is to direct and co-produce Mayanadhi is an upcoming Indian Malayalam film which is co-written by Syam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair.
The film is based on a story by Amal Neerad, Mayaanadhi is co-produced by Santhosh Kuruvila.
The film stars Tovino Thomas and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles.
South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan was first approached for the female lead but she turn down the offer because, of her another malayalam debut movie Hey Jude.
Trisha Replaced by model Aishwarya Lekshmi. Later cast includes Aparna Balamurali and Leona Lishoy.
Filming began in Madurai. The film is expected to release in theatres by December 22.
