Ramesh Pisharody is to make his directorial debut in the film titled Panchavarna Thatha. Apart from direction, Pisharody is the co writer along with Hari P. Nair. Film is produced by Maniyanpillai Raju.

The lead roles are played by Jayaram, Kunchako Boban and Anusree. M. Jayachandran is roped in to compose three songs and Ouseppachan, the background scores. Also Nadhirshah will do the title music.
The movie is set to start on January 2018. Distributors of the film will be Saptha Tharang.
